Union
Union AI makes software that keeps the data workflows behind AI products running reliably. It grew out of Flyte, the open-source platform the team built after starting out at Lyft, where they made a system to estimate arrival times for drivers. Order built the identity around the data-focused nature of that work.
Union's software works through orchestration: it brings separate, often scattered data points together into one system. Order took that idea into core geometric shapes. The wordmark is built from circles and squares, and a symbol for smaller sizes traces a user's path through a data workflow.
The type is Yellix by Displaay, picked because it started from Paul Renner's first sketches for Futura, which matches the geometry of the wordmark. The same geometry runs through a large icon library and custom lettering for the product's features. The palette is yellow, black and cool grey with purple as a highlight, and full colour photography shows real client stories from Lyft, Wolt and Spotify.
Project team at Order: Jesse Reed (partner), Emily Klaebe (designer) and Megan Nardini (operations), from the Brooklyn office.
