PostNord Bragdguldet

When Bragdguldet, Sweden's most prestigious sports award, turned 100, PostNord marked it with a series of postage stamps, and Bedow drew the athletes entirely in type. The award was founded by the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, so every figure is built from letters taken from the paper that announced the win.

Five athletes have won Bragdguldet twice: Björn Borg, Ingemar Stenmark, Anja Pärson, Sarah Sjöström and Armand Duplantis. Each one is reduced to a single iconic movement on a tiny canvas. Borg's curls come from the tail of a lowercase a, Stenmark's skis are italic lowercase l's, and every athlete uses the letterforms of their own era, so the series doubles as a trip through a century of newspaper typography.

Halftone dots lifted from magnified newspaper photos sit behind the motifs, and the set comes with first day covers and extras made for serious collectors. The work has picked up a TDC Silver, a D&AD Wood Pencil and ADC honours in 2026.
