Browsing the site

You can use the whole gallery without an account. We count visits with Google Analytics only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner; you can change that any time with the Cookies link in the footer. We also log technical errors (page, browser type, the error) so we can fix them. Our host, Cloudflare, sees standard request data such as your IP address to keep the site fast and safe.

Stacks

Stacks you save are kept in your own browser. If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us your email address, your first name and an account number Google uses for you, and we keep your stacks under that account so they show up on any computer. That is all we get: no password, no contacts, nothing from your Google account beyond that.

You can sign out from the Stacks panel. To delete your account and your saved stacks, use Delete my account in the Stacks panel, or email us.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email is kept by Mailchimp (Intuit), which sends the Monday issue. Signing in for Stacks does not subscribe you: that is a separate box you tick yourself. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.

Forms and payments

When you send us a project, a sponsor request or a job post, we receive what you typed by email (sent through Resend) and keep it to answer you. Payments for sponsorships, job posts and the shop go through Stripe; we never see your card number.

Who else touches your data

Some of them are in the United States and use the safeguards the law requires for transfers outside the EU. We never sell or rent your data.

How long we keep it

Stacks and your sign-in details: until you delete them, or two years after you last sign in. Form messages: as long as we need them to reply and for our records. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] and we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).
