Privacy policy for the BRRRANDING New Tab extension

What the extension does

It replaces your new tab page with one brand identity from brrranding.com, with the studio credit and a link to the project. That is the whole product.

What it collects

Nothing. The extension has no analytics, no tracking pixels and no account. It does not read your browsing history, your other tabs or anything you type in the address bar.

What it stores on your computer

It keeps a copy of the public project list from brrranding.com, the last 20 projects you were shown (so they are not repeated right away), and whether you have subscribed to or dismissed the newsletter box. All of this stays in your browser's extension storage and is removed when you uninstall the extension.

Network requests

The extension loads the public project list and the project images from brrranding.com. If you type your email into the newsletter box and press Subscribe, that email is sent to Mailchimp, the service that delivers the BRRRANDING newsletter, and is handled under Mailchimp's privacy policy. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you do that. You can unsubscribe from any issue with one click.

Permissions

The extension asks for one permission, "storage", to keep the cached list and your newsletter choice on your computer. It does not ask for access to any website.
